The International GCSE course at SCL is undertaken by all students in Years 10 and 11. International GCSEs are esteemed qualifications, which are recognized and accepted throughout institutions across the world. The course is a two year course across all examined subject areas. The IGCSEs that we currently offer are:
- English Language
- English as a Second Language
- English Literature
- Science (Double Award)
- Optional French
- ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
If you are wanting to enroll your child at SCL during Years 10 and 11, please note that the courses do take place over a two year period, so it may not be possible to offer your child a temporary place if you then wish for them to take these examinations at the end of Year 11. Please also bear this in mind when taking your child out of school for extended periods outside of allocated school holidays.
Over the cours of the school year, students will take Mock Exams. Mock exam week is good practice for the students to gauge how well they are achieving in relation to their predicted grades, and is excellent practice for time management during exams, before their real IGCSEs start in May of this year. We wish them all the best!
